Muséum d’histoire naturelle de Nantes

Yesterday, compelled by the legend of a King Rat that the museum is said to possess, Jonathan and I visited the Muséum d’histoire naturelle de Nantes. We did eventually find the King Rat (I won’t explain what a King Rat is because it’s too gross – feel free to look it up for yourselves if you like), but more importantly we got to walk around this fantastic building full of many treasures of the natural world.

(I had been once before, with Hanna’s host sisters Clemence and Flore (aged 7 and 12 ish?) when we were students. I’ll never forget Clemence hissing at the serpents in the herbarium!)
