Love and Life

This past weekend we went to East Tennessee to visit my Nana and the rest of my mom’s side of the family.

Tennessee is truly one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It’s so lush and green. We took a hike to Hen Wallow Falls, a waterfall none of us had ever been to before or heard much about, and it was just fantastic — even if the water was too shallow for swimming (see Jonathan’s pouty face as he sits in 6 inches of water?).

At the end of the hike, we got caught in a summer down pour. With no thunder and with all the heat – the rain came as a refreshment, and I think I’ll remember the run through the rain as one of the happiest moments of my life.
