practice resurrection.

There are no words for how deeply saddened Jonathan and I are by the election.

We are in grief, in mourning. It will take time to heal.

But we are more resolved than ever to fight for what is right, what is good, what is true.

I am clinging to the words of Wendell Berry now more than ever, for inspiration and for hope:

“Denounce the government and embrace
the flag. Hope to live in that free
republic for which it stands.”

If you are already calling for unity, you do not understand.

If you are already calling for support for the president-elect, you do not understand.

We must not normalize divisiveness, bigotry, hate-speech, or ignorance.

We must instead practice resurrection.

We’re ready.
